The Robbery Train

The Robbery Train is an authentic "Wild West" experience. Actual "robbers" board the train and "steal" the souvenir paper money you are given before you board the train. I took quite a few color pictures but turned them into vintage black and whites and made a collage of them.

This  video  was taken the same time as my pictures. It is fantastic with great music.

The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway is a totallvolunteer and non-profit organization. The train depot is located in Nelsonville directly on State Route 33. Their regularly scheduled trains run at noon and 2:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays from May 1st to the first weekend in November.  Reservations are recommended. I purchased my ticket on their website at www.hockingvalleytrain.com. For information call 1-800-967-7834 for voice mail or call locally at 740-753-9531 on the weekends.

The website also has numerous specialty and summer holiday trains and Santa trains run in December.  Make sure you don't miss taking a train ride during your next journey to the Hocking Hills!
