Cedar Falls State Park        Early settlers in the Hocking Hills Region mistook the towering hemlock trees that surrounded one of their favorite waterfalls as cedar trees and hence forever more we will call these falls “Cedar Falls”. The falls plunge 50 feet into a pool below and at one time in the 1800’s a grist mill was located just above the falls. Picnic areas are located just a short walk from the falls.
