I have been hiking in the Hocking Hills State Parks for over 5 decades and I have never been to or knew about Broken Rock Falls. So when Pat Quackenbush, the State Park Naturalist, offered a guided hike to Broken Rock Falls, I went. The trail took us through Old Man's Cave and to the very edge of the park. The literal end of the trail is the falls which was actually just a trickle during the summer.

Old Man's Cave State Park
Old Man’s Cave State Park is the most well-known and popular of the six parks that make up the Hocking Hills area. It was named after the hermit Richard Rowe who made it his home before the Civil War. Old Man’s Cave is the largest of all the parks in the Hocking Hills.
