Christmas in Ash Cave

Christmas in Ash Cave

Christmas in Ash Cave is Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Ash Cave State Park. End your day of Christmas shopping at Ash Cave State Park on Route 56. Take a short unguided lantern lit walk back to the cave.

The trail is paved and wheelchairs and strollers alike can enjoy the beauty of the area during this winter wonderland time of year. I just walked the path today and it is covered with snow on parts of the trail but I had no trouble getting back to the cave.

On Saturday night there will be an open fire with refreshments, holiday music with carolers and an old fashioned Santa. You can even help decorate the Christmas tree with treats for the wildlife.

I know I always get cabin fever at this time of year. Winter came very early this year. What better way to get out of the house and actually embrace the cold and enjoy Ash Cave during this holiday season. Make it a family affair. Everyone from nine months to ninety years old will enjoy this event. Bundle up and come to the Hills!!
